Skiing and snowboarding are world-famous sports, judging by the number of countries that have winter resorts: more than 68 boast spaces where they can be practiced.

We have selected some of the best to practice white sport, the beauty of these enclaves turns winter sports into good excuses to travel to the most virgin nature:


  • Mont Tremblant (Canada): A couple of hours' drive from Montreal, with 95 slopes of all difficulty levels and more than 600 hectares of terrain, has three huge parks snowboard
  • Aspen Snowmass (Colorado, USA): in the White River Rocky Mountain National Park, with 76 tracks, intermediate and advanced levels (not suitable for beginners!).
  • Val d'Isère (France): form next to Tignes the call Espace Killy, the one they say is the most beautiful ski area in the world.
  • Zermatt (Switzerland): It is in a typically Swiss alpine village, with the typical wood houses nice big peaks all around. The whole town is pedestrianized and very calm, it is worth visiting the environment.
  • Sierra Nevada (Granada): It is the southernmost ski resort in Europe. With 79 tracks, there are for all levels, very wide and well marked. For snowboarders it is one of the most fun slopes.
  • Baqueira- Beret (Aran Valley, Lleida): One of the largest ski resorts in The PyreneesIt doesn't have a train station, so you have to get there by road, but it's worth the trip.
  • Alta Badia (Bolzano, Italy): Considered a perfect station for family skiing, it has 500km of easy slopes except the big laugh, one of the most dangerous slopes designed for the modality of slalom giant. With the opening of the first ski school after the First World War and the construction of the Col Alto cable car in 1938, the green light was given to winter tourism in this area.
  • Niseko (Hokkaido, Japan): It is located in front of the inactive volcano Mount Yotei (much like the famous Mount Fuji), and boasts the open-air hot springs of Makkar. Powder snow and pristine ski slopes are perfect draws for skiers and snowboarders from all over the world.

  • Park City (Utah, USA): Its aboutlargest ski resort in the US, with almost 3.000 hectares, more than 300 slopes and 17 mountain peaks. 
  • Cerro Castor (Ushuaia, Argentina): Skiing at the end of the world, is what the southernmost ski center on the planet offers, located in Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego in Argentine Patagonia.
  • Snowy Valley (Farellones, Chile): One of the largest in South America, that is located in the Cordillera de Los Andes makes it boast of having one of the longest ski seasons on the continent, with almost 40km of slopes for all levels.
  • Lax (Switzerland): More focused on snow, it is the preferred destination for freestylers in the Alps, and not for nothing: they have the largest half pipe in the world, a line of professional Olympic-sized jumps, and they have a total of 90 modules spread over 4 snowparks with areas for each level.
  • Breckeridge (Colorado, USA): Also aimed at those who practice with a board, it is a meeting point for professional snowboarders.
